Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Will I Get For My Scrap Car In Brentwood?
The answer is it depends. Here are some of the most common factors that are taken into mind:
- Weight Of Car – As small cars will weigh less per ton meaning they weigh in at less scrap metal value. Meaning the price will drop. The logic is the heavier the car the more its worth in scrap.
- Scrap market & time of year – Prices drop and rise all of the time throughout different periods in the year. From Prices of £40 per ton to £100 per ton or even more.
- Car complete – It may seem not important but many scrap dealers will dramatically drop the price they pay if you take parts off. Main parts that need to be on car are: Battery, Catalyst Converter and Wheels.
- Condition of car – This will not as much affect the price but you may be entitled to a better price for a running car or non damaged car.
